Kylie Jenner Channels Marilyn Monroe in Stunning Schiaparelli Dress
The Jenner sisters have gone directly from the first line in Milan to Paris, where this evening Kylie Jenner watched Kendall close the Schiaparelli show. It looks like Kylie was motivated by the family’s own honorary pathway document tonight, as she wore a skin-tight precious stone encrusted strap neck outfit that is surprisingly like the “Blissful Birthday, Mr President” Marilyn Monroe dress her sister Kim Kardashian broadly wore to the Met Function in 2022.
The Marilyn-style outfit has a scooped neck area prompting a keyhole cut-out at the chest, which those in the loop will quickly perceive as an image of a Schiaparelli creation. While Kylie’s dress was Old Hollywood sensation material, she undermined the excitement to some degree with her unconventional decision of footwear. Maybe she buys into some unacceptable shoe hypothesis, or acknowledges that this season, “toes are the new leg Jenner chose a couple of bare physical impact points formed to look like a human foot. Schiaparelli feels weak at the knees over feet: for a few seasons now the maison’s assortments have consolidated siphons with tips etched to seem to be plated claws. Jenner’s shoes were a review of the new spring/summer 2024 assortment – they were styled with Look 8 on the runway in Paris.
Jenner’s Paris Design Week closet has consolidated a lot of rebellious footwear – see her marginally clinical-looking Sportmax group. Originators like Elena Velez, Ricky Wesley Harriott, Donatella Versace, Daniel Lee and Aaron Esh have all been zeroing in on the foot for spring/summer 2024 with fixation motivated shoes. It’s a pattern Kylie Jenner is plainly here for.
