Madonna’s daughter, Lourdes Leon, makes a bold statement in Saint Laurent’s lace catsuit.
Saint Laurent’s recent women’s show fully embraced the sheer fabric trend without hesitation, so it’s no surprise that Lourdes Leon took that cue to attend the brand’s menswear show. Madonna’s eldest daughter donned an entirely see-through lace catsuit, complete with built-in gloves. She layered a menswear-inspired black coat over her bodysuit, keeping her styling simple with square-shaped sunglasses and pointed-toe heels. Appropriately, her ensemble seemed to blend two recent specialties of Saint Laurent’s creative director Anthony Vaccarello.
The star’s coat reflected elements from the previous menswear show, which featured power suiting, as well as Vaccarello’s recent womenswear collection known for its sheer designs, unveiled at the start of Paris Fashion Week. Lourdes’ outfit embodied the best of both worlds—and Saint Laurent’s collections for that matter. She captured the va-va-voom spirit of Vaccarello’s womenswear while also embracing some of the designer’s more traditionally masculine elements in her styling.
Fittingly, the French brand appeared to lead the naked dressing trend this season. Their women’s catwalk showcased transparent fashion alongside a front row filled with guests nearly as undressed as the models. Olivia Wilde led the charge with her daring outfit, joined by Rosé and Zoë Kravitz, who also embraced risky show attire.
Lourdes kept her front row appearances minimal this season, but when she did emerge, she did so with style—and somewhat of a signature look. Her only other outing was for Marc Jacobs’ pre-NYFW show in early February, where she opted for a sheer bodysuit paired with a matching black coat, staying true to her fashion statement.
