EXCLUSIVE: MISHO Unveils Its First High Jewellery Collection, JAIPUR
MISHO takes a bold step into the world of high jewellery with JAIPUR, a 16-piece collection deeply rooted in the rich heritage of the Pink City. Glistening rubies, sapphires, and emeralds—sourced from Jaipur’s legendary Johri Bazaar—celebrate the city’s craftsmanship, blending traditional techniques with a contemporary design language.
The collection is a story of transformation. Gold heirlooms, once tucked away and rarely worn, have been reimagined into sculptural, wearable pieces. Alongside repurposed gold, MISHO incorporates 18K Single Mine Origin (S.M.O) gold, a responsibly sourced and fully traceable material, reinforcing the collection’s commitment to ethical craftsmanship.
Jaipur’s architectural grandeur plays a key role in shaping the collection. The vibrant hues of its historic gates find their expression in gemstones—deep blue sapphires inspired by the Peacock Gate, lush emeralds and pink sapphires reflecting the Lotus and Leheriya Gates, and rich rubies echoing the floral motifs of the Winter Gate. Every detail nods to the city’s artistic legacy, from meenakari enameling to intricate pearl work, which has been reinterpreted to enhance the jewellery’s sculptural appeal.
This collection also marks a meaningful collaboration with Princess Gauravi Kumari, tying the artistry of Jaipur to a greater cause. A portion of the proceeds will support the Princess Diya Kumari Foundation, an initiative empowering women artisans across Rajasthan. A special jewellery bag charm, inspired by Jaipur, will also be available, with all proceeds benefiting the foundation.
The standout pieces—Emerald Diamond Door Earrings and an Emerald Diamond Earcuff—pay tribute to Jaipur’s iconic City Palace gates, capturing the essence of the past through a modern lens. Each design serves as a portal to a world where tradition and innovation coexist seamlessly.
Now available by appointment at MISHO’s Mumbai studio, JAIPUR is a celebration of heritage, craftsmanship, and contemporary artistry.
