Princess Catherine Radiates Elegance in Red at Commonwealth Day Service
This morning, Princess Catherine captivated onlookers as she arrived at Westminster Abbey for the Commonwealth Day Service of Celebration, exuding timeless grace in a striking red ensemble.
Revisiting one of her cherished looks, the Princess of Wales donned a vibrant candy apple-red coatdress by Catherine Walker. The sophisticated piece, featuring a statement bow at the collar and elegant button detailing, was previously worn by Catherine during the 2021 Westminster Abbey carol service.
She embraced a monochrome aesthetic, pairing the coatdress with bright-red suede Gianvito Rossi pumps, a sleek rectangular clutch, and a chic circular fascinator adorned with a rose detail. By her side, Prince William looked polished in a navy suit, white shirt, and a coordinating navy-and-burgundy patterned tie, completing his refined look with black dress shoes and a touch of scruff.
Inside the service, the couple shared warm smiles and laughter, showcasing their enduring bond. Catherine’s appearance marks another step in her gradual return to royal duties following her announcement of being in remission from cancer. After spending much of the past year focused on treatment and recovery, she shared an optimistic outlook earlier this year:
“It is a relief to now be in remission, and I remain focused on recovery. As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal. I am, however, looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead. There is much to look forward to. Thank you to everyone for your continued support.”
