Alia Bhatt Celebrates Maharashtra Day in a Paithani Masterpiece by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla

Alia Bhatt made a striking appearance at the WAVES India summit in Mumbai, dressed in a handwoven Paithani sari that took 75 days to create. Designed by the celebrated Indian duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla, the ensemble paid homage to Maharashtra’s rich cultural legacy while adding a touch of contemporary glamour.

Draped in a classic nauvari style, the sari featured vibrant tones of peach, coral, and fuchsia, enhanced with a golden floral-bordered weave. Her sleeveless blouse, embroidered with delicate zardozi and sequins, brought a modern edge to the look with its plunging neckline and open-back design.

Alia completed her ensemble with turquoise drop earrings, geometric rings, and a fresh gajra around her wrist—a subtle tribute to the romance and tradition of the state. Her beauty look stayed true to her minimal aesthetic: clean makeup, a slick bun, and a micro green bindi that perfectly echoed her accessories.
