Indigenous Grace Sini Shetty’s Banarasi Silk Ensemble Steals the Show
The 71st Miss World opening ceremony commenced in the national capital on Tuesday, featuring the graceful presence of Femina Miss India World 2022, Sini Shetty. Radiating in her representation of the nation, Sini Shetty adorned herself in a resplendent red Banarasi saree, bringing a touch of Indian culture to the international stage. The 22-year-old chose a stunning silk creation from the collections of Jayanti Reddy, valued at Rs 3,24,900, according to the designer’s website.
The magnificent six-yard garment boasted intricate golden-toned work throughout, harmonizing beautifully with its scallop-style embroidered border. Complementing this ensemble was a navy blue blouse, elegantly crafted with a plunging V-neckline and short sleeves. Sini opted for traditional gold danglers as her choice of accessory, forgoing a necklace and instead adorning her wrist with matching gold bangles.
Opting for a natural look, Sini allowed her voluminous tresses to cascade freely, styled with delicate curls at the ends. Her makeup exuded understated elegance, featuring demi-matte lips, neutral eyes accentuated with additional lashes, and well-defined, bushy brows.
Expressing her choice, Sini Shetty remarked, “This timeless attire embodies grace, dignity, and the essence of femininity. Stepping into this legacy, I am thrilled to drape myself in this Banarasi Silk Saree by Jayanti Reddy. It captures the old-world charm and understated elegance, championing indigenous fabrics that are naturally dyed and celebrating the art of handwoven textiles. Adorned with intricate hand embroidery, the craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail elevate the designs, making a classical and deeply personal fashion statement.”
This captivating portrayal by Sini Shetty not only showcases her individual style but also pays homage to the rich heritage and craftsmanship of Indian textiles on the global stage.
