Jonathan Anderson Named Creative Director of Dior

In a move that has electrified the fashion world, Dior has announced the appointment of Jonathan Anderson as Creative Director of women’s, men’s, and haute couture collections. This historic decision marks the first time since Monsieur Christian Dior himself that a single visionary will oversee every aspect of the House’s creative output—a bold step signaling a new era for the iconic maison.

A Visionary at the Helm

Jonathan Anderson, celebrated for his boundary-pushing work at JW Anderson and Loewe, brings a rare blend of conceptual artistry and commercial savvy to Dior. Over the past decade, Anderson has captivated the industry with his ability to redefine silhouettes, challenge gender norms, and infuse heritage with a thoroughly modern spirit. His appointment is not only a testament to his remarkable career but also to Dior’s commitment to innovation and creative evolution.

Delphine Arnault, Chairman and CEO of Christian Dior Couture, expressed her excitement:
“I am delighted to welcome Jonathan Anderson to lead the women’s and men’s creations of the House. I have followed his career with great interest since he joined the LVMH group over ten years ago. I am convinced that he will bring a creative and modern vision to our House, inspired by the fabulous story of Monsieur Dior and the codes he created. He will be supported by our teams and our incredible Ateliers who will bring his creativity to life.”

Bernard Arnault, Chairman and CEO of LVMH, echoed her sentiments:
“Jonathan Anderson is one of the greatest creative talents of his generation. His incomparable artistic signature will be a crucial asset in writing the next chapter of the history of the House of Dior.”

A Historic Appointment

Anderson’s new role is unprecedented in Dior’s modern history. Since the days of Christian Dior, the House has never entrusted one creative director with the stewardship of both women’s and men’s lines, as well as haute couture. This unification promises a global creative vision, one that will draw on Anderson’s unique ability to merge the avant-garde with the timeless codes of Dior.

For Anderson, the appointment is both an honor and a challenge:

“It is a great honour to join the House of Dior as Creative Director of both Women’s and Men’s collections. I have always been inspired by the rich history of this House, its depth, and empathy. I look forward to working alongside its legendary Ateliers to craft the next chapter of this incredible story. I would like to express my sincere thanks to Delphine Arnault and Bernard Arnault for their trust and loyalty over the years.”

What’s Next for Dior

Fashion insiders are already abuzz with anticipation for Anderson’s debut. He will present his first collection—Dior Men Summer 2026—in Paris on June 27, 2025. All eyes will be on the runway as Anderson reveals his vision for the House, blending his signature wit and artistry with Dior’s storied elegance.

This appointment signals a new chapter for Dior—one that honors its legendary past while looking fearlessly to the future. With Jonathan Anderson at the helm, the House is poised for a renaissance that will captivate a new generation of fashion lovers.
