Kendall Jenner adds a touch of sparkle with blinged-out earrings, perfect for the Oscars’ glitz and glam.
After making waves at the Paris fashion scene in late January, John Galliano’s recent Maison Margiela couture collection continues to gain traction on the red carpet. At the Vanity Fair Oscars Party last night, Kendall Jenner joined the growing list of A-list style stars donning the collection in real life.
Jenner graced the streets of Los Angeles in the second look from Margiela’s spring 2024 runway show, which showcased a diverse range from a Gwendoline Christie appearance to Brassaï-inspired pieces. Her ensemble put a dark twist on the classic LBD, featuring a curve-hugging corset beneath a completely see-through gown. Like the runway version, Jenner sported the piece with a sleeveless silhouette and cut-out details, opting to go sans bra.
The theatrical nature of this particular collection explains its red carpet appeal. In February, Hunter Schafer dazzled in an olive green number just days after its runway debut. And at the Dune: Part Two premiere in New York, Anya Taylor-Joy graced the red carpet channeling the Paris runways in a shimmery pannier gown.
Although Jenner struck some Margiela-esque runway poses upon her arrival, akin to Schafer and Taylor-Joy, she diverged from the tousled ginger hair and porcelain makeup showcased on the catwalk. Instead, the model opted for dewy skin, a statement red lip, and a simple updo. Accessories were kept to a minimum, save for a pair of blinged-out silver earrings.
