Titan has forged a partnership with the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) to create an exclusive and limited-edition khadi collection.
Thanks to the increasing awareness of sustainability, khadi is gaining recognition as one of the standout textiles in the country. Titan’s latest collaboration stands as a testament to this. In celebration of Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th birth anniversary, the brand has partnered with the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), a statutory body under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), to introduce a khadi collection. This collection comprises two watches crafted from handwoven khadi fabric, designed for both women and men.
Priced at Rs 5,000, these watches feature a silver dial with a depiction of the charkha, while khadi is used for the background and straps. They have also undergone a special coating process to enhance durability without compromising their authentic texture. The design seamlessly blends Indian elements with Titan’s signature craftsmanship, making these practical wristwatches not only suitable for everyday wear but also an excellent complement to your ethnic attire.
Ravi Kant, Chief Executive Officer of Watches & Wearables at Titan Company Limited, stated, “Titan has continually evolved over the years in sync with the aspirations of our consumers. Our design narratives have mirrored India’s progress and celebrated its culture. Khadi is highly esteemed in India and around the world for its uniqueness, being hand-spun, handwoven, and a genuinely sustainable fabric.”
